Re-post from a fellow visioneer: remain divided, see if THEY care!

Following text from my visioneer friend, who posted recently at a pro-madness project called “the Icarus Project” (www.theicarusproject.net) :

There are loads of ways you can remain divided…and conquered. Parades of enemies are constantly trotted out just for your misery. Misery does love company! So when i stumbled across this interesting anecdote for all the pain and misery in the world of the suffering, hurting masses, i couldn’t help but want to find it again (it was no longer at the site i first saw it at), and add a few of my own comments.

excerpt:[blockquote]
“…But at least there’s usually someone lower in the social hierarchy you can feel superior to and kick in the teeth once in a while. Even a lowly dishwasher can easily find some poor slob further down in the pecking order to sneer and spit at. So be thankful for migrant workers, prostitutes, and homeless street people.

“Always remember that if everyone like you were economically secure and socially privileged like us, there would be no one left to fill all those boring, dangerous, low-paid jobs in our economy. And no one to fight our wars for us, or blindly follow orders in our totalitarian corporate institutions. And certainly no one to meekly go to their grave without having lived a full and creative life. So please, keep up the good work!

“You also probably don’t have the same greedy, compulsive drive to possess wealth, power, and prestige that we have. And even though you may sincerely want to change the way you live, you’re also afraid of the very change you desire, thus keeping you and others like you in a nervous state of limbo. So you go through life mechanically playing your assigned social role, terrified what others would think should you ever dare to “break out of the mold.”

“Naturally, we try to play you off against each other whenever it suits our purposes: high-waged workers against low-waged, unionized against non-unionized, Black against White, male against female, American workers against Japanese against Mexican against….”[/blockquote]

That said, i want to say a few things. i DON’T want to play into that game where yet a new group is to be demonized, no matter how much they seem to deserve it. i’d RATHER promote a side of truth that, for some reason, even an interesting post like this cannot seem to grasp. In its [apparent?] populism.

Let’s talk about oppressors, when they truly are oppressors, as alienated people whose behavior ought to be evolved. You know what i’m sayin’?

And when they behave stupidly and alienatedly, let’s take ’em by the proverbial horns and bring them back to humanity, theirs and ours!

Why have they gotten so alienated? Where did they pick it up from? Do even elite schools impose compulsory conformity on their cadets?

And are elites REALLY rich, in the best sense of the word?? I don’t think so! Materially, yes, they’re rich. Psychologically? No! Psychicly, no! Creatively, no! Emotionally, no! Spiritually, no! Intellectually, no! (conformers, they are; they conform intellectually, in lockstep to the orthodox, the conventional, et al.)

Why do they conform? Because, like us, they experienced attack from their earliest years. We’re ALL colonized—into a model of being and thinking that is oriented to material wealth. And that’s it.

Methinks MANY OF YOU have personally experienced the shell of community that exists amongst the most materially privileged. i know i have, to varying degrees. And yet, we come away from such, with a desire to escape!

We go MAD with desire to escape, so that we create self-taught-methods, folk remedies, to deal with what we intuitively KNOW is far from sane!

The truth is, we are the power that humanity needs. Not the stupidized professionals who categorically submit to the Wizards of Is/Oz/their owners (for insightful psychological and “pragmatic” reasons), while betraying (unthinkingly more than out of spite) our original desires and turning our movements into yet another rendition of Same Old Song. And so-called “dance”.

i “tip my hat” (an insight into itself) to “the MAD” and those fellow Mad-folks (swimmers in “The Great Sea of Schizophrenia” or where-ever) who are seeking to re-see and inspire humanity with their bests!
